Veronica Kuchinow
General Director

Veronica is an accomplished entrepreneur and agronomist with extensive expertise in advising circular economy and industrial symbiosis projects for municipalities, companies, and governments. With a diverse educational background in business management and leadership in both Spain and China, as well as specialization in business communication and innovation, she brings a unique blend of passion and strategic insight. Veronica is dedicated to making resource efficiency a key driver of decarbonization across industries and regions, fostering sustainable growth and impactful change.

Anna Lluís
Technical Director

Anna is an agronomist and a highly skilled expert in developing sustainable, smart solutions that integrate energy, waste, and water synergies. Holding a Master’s degree in Energy Management and a broad range of environmental qualifications, she brings extensive experience in managing environmental projects and public services. Her advisory work with both SMEs and large industrial groups has equipped her with exceptional technical and strategic expertise, enabling her to “make things happen”.

Noemí Daza
Data Analyst (Syner)

Noemí holds a degree in Economics and Business, along with a postgraduate degree in Business Management from IESE. With over 20 years of experience in senior leadership roles at multinational companies, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in strategic management and business operations. With a flexible and methodical approach, and strong expertise in data management, Noemí leverages her analytical skills to develop the programs that map resource flows and analyze agro-industrial ecosystems, which form the foundation of the company’s operations.

Mireia García
Managing consultant

Mireia holds a degree in Sociology and a degree in Geography and Spatial Planning, with over 10 years of experience managing companies and leading teams. Organized and passionate about challenges and collaboration, she combines her extensive management expertise with the development of bioeconomy projects and sustainable territorial development.

Álvaro Santana
Junior consultant

Álvaro is an Industrial Design and Product Development Engineer with a Master’s in Industrial Ecology. Methodical, curious, and a perfectionist, he is passionate about sustainability in all its forms and enjoys applying his wide range of skills to cross-disciplinary industrial symbiosis projects.

Anna Lluís and Verònica Kuchinow found SÍMBIOSY.

2015

The first industrial symbiosis project in Spain, “Manresa en Simbiosis,” is launched.

2016

Expansion of industrial symbiosis projects across Catalonia: Ecoindustria, Vallès Circular, Granollers Enters Symbiosis, Industrial Symbiosis, and more.

2018

Start of the implementation of strategic plans: Metropolitan Area of Barcelona, Barcelona Circular, Asturias Circular, HUB B30, Port Olímpic, and more.

2019

The development of SYNER begins.

2020

The network of “synersicos” begins to take its first steps: the building of SÍMBIOSY Network of industrial symbiosis companies.

2021

Start of expansion to South America: Industrial symbiosis pilot in Vallejo, Mexico City (Mexico), collaboration on the SI Vallparaiso project (Chile), Chihuahua Green City, Chihuahua (Mexico), and resource mapping in Easter Island (Chile).

2022

INSIGHT: The first industrial symbiosis facilitator training course available online.

2023
