Description
Development of the Circular Economy Strategy for the Principality of Asturias 2023-2030, initiated by the Vice Ministry of Environment and Climate Change in collaboration with Cogersa, and approved by the Government Council on March 10, 2023. The project aims to:
- Improve the efficieny in usage, transformation and obtention of resources.
- Valorize waste and obtain secondary raw materials.
- Utilize new resources as alternative energy sources.
- Promote the bioeconomy.
- Improve the waste water management in a more sustainable way.
Highlighted
SÍMBIOSY has conducted an analysis of the value chain of materials, products, and by-products generated, both energetic and material, to propose the revaluation of those suitable for each sector, as well as an assessment of current practices. This process has identified resources and sectors with improvement potential through circular economy strategies and defined specific objectives for developing the strategy in the Principality of Asturias. The following table links circular practices to each specific challenge and quantifies their importance with circle sizes.
